Standard conditions
Many exploration, mineral development, mining claim and small mining lease authorities carry no conditions of their own: they adopt a departmental standard by reference. Before 31 March 2016 that was a Code of environmental compliance; since then it is the eligibility criteria and standard conditions (ESR) documents.

Where an authority names a Code without a version, the version is taken from the Code's quoted date, or inferred from the instrument's effective date when that falls in one version's period (v0 to 30 March 2013, v1 to 20 May 2014, v1.1 to 30 March 2016). Instruments dated after the Codes were retired are linked to version 1.1.
