— For exploration activities the environmental authority holder must comply with each of the standard environmental conditions contained in the Code of Environmental Compliance for Exploration and Mineral Development Projects, except Condition 2 and Condition 13, which are replaced by Schedule B conditions and Schedule C conditions respectively.

The holder of the environmental authority must not carry out activities in a Category A or B Environmentally Sensitive Area. Activities involving machinery must not be carried out within 1km of a category A Environmentally Sensitive Area. Prior to carrying out activities in a category C Environmentally Sensitive Area, consult with the administering authority. If it is determined through the consultation that additional conditions are necessary, the holder must comply with those conditions. The holder of the environmental authority is authorised to carry out exploration activities within 500m of category B Environmentally Sensitive Areas subject to the following conditions. Drill holes must be constructed in existing disturbed areas where possible.

The operational area of the drill pad (after drilling has been completed) must not exceed 3,000m*.

Clearing of mature trees must be prevented or minimised. Spacing of gridlines must be a minimum of 45m apart. Existing access and fence line tracks must be used where possible. New tracks must be constructed by linking existing clearings where possible. Constructed tracks must be less than 15m in width. Track construction involving blade clearing of established ground cover vegetation and/or clearing of mature trees is to be avoided. All new tracks are to be recorded with GPS and records kept of their location and made available to the administering authority on request. All tracks, including watercourse crossings, must be commissioned and operated in accordance with the Code of Practice for Native Forest Timber Production. Other Land Disturbance (C4-1) (C4-2) (C4-3) (C4-4) (C4-5) (C4-6) (C4-7) Activities must not include costeaning or bulk sampling. All equipment such as earthmoving and drilling equipment must be used in a manner which prevents the spread of weeds and minimises unnecessary disturbance of topsoil and ground cover vegetation. Prior to operating within 500m of category B Environmentally Sensitive Areas all vehicles, machinery and equipment must be washed down in accordance with appropriate procedures. Campsites must not be established within 500m of category B Environmentally Sensitive Areas. All waste must be removed and disposed of offsite. Burning of vegetation is not permitted. Sediment control barriers installed on the tenure should be made of non-organic material to prevent the spread of weeds. Rehabilitation & Reporting (C5-1) (C5-2) (C5-3) Rehabilitation of areas disturbed within 500m of category B Environmentally Sensitive Areas must be completed as soon as practicable but no longer than 6 months after completion of the disturbance activity. The environmental authority holder must revegetate disturbed areas within 500m of category B Environmentally Sensitive Areas with native plant species endemic to the area that will promote the same vegetation type and density of cover to that of the surrounding undisturbed area. An annual report must be prepared each year and submitted with each annual return. The report must include details of exploration activities undertaken and details of rehabilitation completed to demonstrate compliance with the environmental authority.
