The conditions of this environmental authority are in force until a surrender of the authority is accepted pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1994. The conditions apply unless an amendment is approved pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act 1994.

If a ‘valid from’ date is not stated on this document, the environmental authority takes effect when each of the environmental authority holders has become a holder of a relevant mining tenement.

Important Note: Standard Environmental Condition 13 of the Code of Environmental Compliance for Exploration and Mineral Development Projects (January 2001), imposes certain restrictions on mining activities within or adjacent to Category A, B or C environmentally sensitive areas. Endangered Regional Ecosystems were identified within EPC636, please refer to the attached map and information sheet.

The sump size must not be greater than 10 square metres.

Topsoil stripping is limited to the sump area of 10 square metres.

Clearing of mature trees is to be avoided.

The spacing between tracks, must not be less than 500m.

Existing access and fence line tracks must be used where possible. Any new tracks are to be constructed by linking natural clearing where possible,

Track construction must avoid blade clearing of established groundcover vegetation and must not involve clearing of mature trees. Tracks are not to be greater than 4m in width.

Line of sight clearing is not permitted.

Construction of new crossings over watercourses is to be avoided and only permitted when no reasonable alternative is available.

All tracks must be constructed and maintained with adequate drainage to avoid accelerated erosion. Gi6 All new tracks are to be recorded with GPS and records kept of their location and made available to the Environmental Protection Agency on request in the form of a shape file.
